As the education system in the country have been changing and evolving of late, so are the trends and proclivities amongst the student community.In the recent past, the idea of 'core specialization' would generally surface in the student's ambit after their 11th standard. JEE Main and JEE Advanced
IIT JEE - the entrance examination conducted nationwide, has two levels.
JEE main examination which is conducted by The National Testing Agency, acts as the screening round for selection of candidates who would be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced.
Students take up the Main examination in order to take admission into the prominent engineering colleges across India like IITs, IIITs, NITs, CFTIs and the the government funded institutions.
JEE Advanced
This is the final selection test a student has to clear in order to get admissions in the prestigious and premier IIT's in India. IIT's only conduct this examination across the country.
While the syllabus remains the same for both Main and Advanced, the levels are different. The question standards are much higher and deeper in the advanced and is aimed at assessing the students' in depth knowledge and understanding of the subjects thoroughly.
Some key differences between the two :
The subjects are the same for the examination: PCM ( Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and the students are evaluated on their knowledge on those subjects only.
The Main exam is of 3-hour duration only, whereas the Advanced comprises of two papers, conducted in two time slots of 3 hours each.
The standard and difficulty level is higher when it comes to the Advanced examination. The knowledge and overall understanding of the subjects by the students are thoroughly examined in the JEE Advanced.

NEET
NEET which is the acronym for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, is a national examination having a single level.
This entrance examination for the undergraduates is conducted by NTA - The National Testing Agency.
This is carried out for students aspiring in medical and it enable them to seek admissions into medical courses such as MBBS, AYUSH, BDS across different medical colleges and institutes of India - both government and private.
The 3-hour and 20-minutes-long examination would be conducted in pen-and-paper mode, comprising of MCQs ( Multiple Choice Questions). The subjects covered would be Physics, Chemistry and Biology in accordance with the prescribed NEET syllabus. And the questions are asked from within the known syllabus only.
